New Paragraph
Fire Prevention programs are needed to provide the public with the knowledge to protect their loved ones and homes from the possibility of a fire and what actions to take if a fire does occur. Annually we attend school functions to spread the knowledge to our youth to provide a foundation of understanding. If you are in need of any assistance please contact us.
The Carlyss Fire Department is a 24/7 Co-Department (Career and Volunteer Department) that focuses on training and developing ourselves to provide the best service possible to our community. Each member of our department is certified in Fire Fighting, HAZMAT and Medical. We are partnered with many organizations including the SWLA Mutual Aid Association and all neighboring emergency services.
If you have a drive and desire to provide and serve your community reach out to us. Our department is always accepting applications and looking to expand our team. Volunteers are essential to our community. The Fire Service is based off of members in the community responding to the call of duty.
Upon request, we offer Smoke Alarm installations, Car Seat Safety Checks/Installs, Safe Sleep Information, and Stop the Bleed training.
Located south of the City of Sulphur, we have been serving the great citizens of Carlyss since 1975. As the Fire Chief my hope is that as you browse through our site, you can see the imperative information needed for you along with putting faces to the heroes within your district. We currently hold a Class 3 Fire Rating in our Fire Protection District. Our fire district provides specialized training in areas such as municipal and industrial fire, emergency medical, and quality fire prevention. It is my pleasure as the Fire Chief to welcome you to Carlyss Fire Department “A Few Serving Many”.
Mark A. Ware Jr., Fire Chief.
